Located in a peaceful and green area of Gorski Kotar, in the village of Sunger near Mrkopalj, this unique modern A-frame house was designed by the investor, who is also an architect, with the idea of creating a private mountain retreat.

This is the first A-frame house in Croatia built using CLT (cross laminated timber) technology.

The house has two floors. The main area is a spacious open-plan living room with a kitchen and dining area, with a ceiling height of almost 8 meters. Large glass walls bring in a lot of natural light and offer a beautiful view of the forest.

The property has two bedrooms (one on the ground floor and one on the gallery), two bathrooms, a sauna, a technical room, a covered south-facing terrace, and a covered entrance.

The entire interior is made of solid wood, creating a warm and comfortable atmosphere, with high-quality finishes and well-planned installations.

Heating is provided by a Schiedel Sirius fireplace with an independent air supply, along with electric underfloor heating divided into several zones, which can be controlled remotely. There is also a system for even air circulation, ensuring a comfortable temperature throughout the space.

The house includes VELUX roof windows with electric shutters, aluminum glass walls on the south side, and high-quality flooring (ceramic tiles and chevron parquet).

Thanks to high-quality insulation (CLT structure and mineral wool), the house stays comfortable all year round.

It is located in a quiet area, yet well connected – only 40 minutes from Rijeka and about 1.5 hours from Zagreb.
